AMG Chrome US LLC was incorporated in 2020. Initially the company was set up to run the vacuum degassing furnaces acquired from the AMG acquisition of the assets of International Specialty Alloys from Kennametal, Inc. The operation is run from premises at Northgate circle in New Castle PA. The furnaces produce ultra low sulphur chrome briquettes with the initial chrome briquettes coming from the AMG Chrome in the UK. In 2024 further capital expenditure was approved to significantly expand the output of high purity degassed chrome briquettes for the US market.
In 2025, the company announced a capital investment of USD $15 million to establish an aluminothermic production facility to manufacture chrome metal in the United States. The facility, with an annual capacity of up to 6,500 tons, will be located at Frenz Drive in the former AMG Titanium’s factory in New Castle, Pennsylvania. We expect it to be operational in the first quarter of 2026.
The New Castle, Pennsylvania facility will be the only chrome metal production facility in operation within the United States. Chrome metal is deemed a Critical Material in the United States due to its importance in various industrial alloys and lack of US production.
The company is also the US sales agent for AMG Chrome Limited with the sales team based at AMG NV's head office in Wayne.

The individual would need to come to the US with a visa already or the company would have to apply for the person under our sponsor licence and we would need to do some further work to fully understand the requirements of this depending on the role and if it meets the government requirements.
