AMG Aluminum UK was established in 2012 from the aluminium business and assets of London & Scandinavian Metallurgical (now AMG Chrome). The aluminium business was established in 1954 and currently operates with 47 employees at its base in Rotherham on the same site as AMG Chrome Limited.
AMG Aluminum is a world-leading provider of grain refiners and master alloys for the aluminum industry. AMG Aluminum offers a wide range of products including grain refiners, master alloys, compacted additives (ALTAB), chemicals and fluxes and rod feeders.
The company provides grain refiners and master alloys used during melting and casting of aluminum and its alloys. In casthouse applications, the control of grain size is absolutely essential in maintaining product consistency and quality, in reducing costs and maintaining high levels of productivity. AMG Aluminum's products are sold to all the major aluminum producers.
